It was great to take part in the ‘Hour Of Code’ 2015 organised by Code.Org – https://code.org/. The sense of accomplishment on the kids faces when they got their certificates for just an hours coding was great to see. Some of the kids flew through the lessons and got involved helping others that were a bit stuck.
I think it is incredible that kids as young as 9 can naturally lean towards peer learning. Something that should also be encouraged at schools more, how else will you develop leaders that lead?
By the time the event had finished there were over 180 countries, 198,474 clubs taking part, 2,400 just in the UK.
